How to rank higher on Google Maps
Google ranks places on three things: how relevant your profile is to the search, how far you are from the person searching, and how prominent you are, from reviews and links to you. You can't pay for a better ranking.
- Verify your Business Profile, if you haven't.
- Fill it in completely: category, address, hours (special hours too), phone, website, and attributes like a rooftop or Wi-Fi.
- Reply to reviews, good and bad.
- Add photos and videos of the room, the menu and the team.
Relevance
How well your profile matches what the customer types. The right category ("cocktail bar" rather than "bar") and a complete profile make Google show you for the right searches.
Prominence
More reviews and good ratings help, and so do articles and sites that mention you. Details that contradict each other from one site to the next do the opposite: Google and AI assistants no longer know which to trust.
Your venue, checked for free
The free check tells you where you come up when people search your kind of venue in Bangkok, against the top three with their ratings and reviews, and whether an AI names you when asked where to go.
