How to change your business hours on Google Maps

You change your hours in your Google Business Profile, under "Hours". Google reviews the change before it shows on Search and Maps.

  1. Open business.google.com, or the "Business" tab in the Google Maps app.
  2. Select "Edit profile", then "Hours".
  3. Next to "Hours", select "Edit", tick each open day and set the times. A break in the day goes in as two time ranges on the same day.
  4. Save.

Holidays and one-off closures

Use "Special hours": pick the date, then set hours or "Closed". They cover closures of up to 6 days in a row; for longer, mark the venue "Temporarily closed". Google suggests confirming your holiday hours even when they don't change: Songkran and New Year's Eve are when people check.

Kitchen, delivery, happy hour

"More hours" give the times of a separate service, like delivery or takeaway. They only show once your regular hours are set.

The same hours everywhere

Customers also see TripAdvisor, your website and what AI assistants answer, which repeat those sources. Hours changed on Google and forgotten elsewhere send someone to a closed door.

Your venue, checked for free

The free check compares your hours day by day between Google, TripAdvisor and your own site, and shows every line that differs with its fix.
